In Collaboration with UC Merced Basic Needs
In partnership with UC Merced Basic Needs, this educational culinary demonstration highlighted the connection between food, wellness, and student success through a gut-health-focused recipe: Kimchi Cauliflower Fried Rice with Tamari-Marinated Tofu.
The program explores the role of fermented foods in supporting digestive health while increasing awareness of accessible, nutrient-dense ingredients available to students. By combining culinary skill-building with nutrition education, this collaboration empowered students to make informed food choices that support both physical and academic well-being.
This initiative aligns with the Monterey Bay ACF mission by promoting community outreach and the advancement of food knowledge that improves lives beyond the kitchen.
